Developments in Korash - June 2020
The Chrome Hand art is in! Well, most of it.
No colour added yet (that's usually something I do myself, which I just haven't got around to yet), and some are still in a basic sketch form - but man... they are lovely, lovely pieces (on display at the bottom of this article).
These are all the work of the superb twinscale studios (https://www.behance.net/twinscalestudio), who as well as being skilled professionals are lovely chaps and most easy to work with.
So this means that Chrome Hand are not long off getting their own faction & unit-specific writeups on this blog (like with the other tribes), and addition into the game's alpha version (specifically the next version, which will be 0.03.02 - yes, that is perhaps a silly number of decimal places, but it's done now so we all just have to live with my poor decision making).
IN OTHER NEWS
ToK now has a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/tribesofkorash) to live besides its already extant Facebook playtesting group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/tribesofkorash/ - am I already showing this off publicly? I don't know... If I wasn't, then here it is! Join up for organisation of games and discussion of ToK with its currently modest audience of friends and wellwishers).
Also, a twitter account, which I am currently building (https://twitter.com/Eskalat1). And then, at some later point in the near future, an instagram to show off all those lovely lovely art assets the game has accrued.
Slow and steady has definitely been the theme of ToK's development, though now it feels closer to perhaps (perhaps?) being seen by a wider audience - beyond the aforementioned friends & wellwishers. This is exciting, and a little scary - with more attention comes more scrutiny, hard work, and more to lose if (gods forbid) the project doesn't work out. Though none of these are necessarily bad things - just another plateau reached, with new challenges to meet.
At these times I return to the ever-wise words of the great Samuel Beckett:
