Version 0.40 is here

v0.40 Cometh - https://tabletopia.com/playground/tribesofkorash-cy4fzy/play-now

Above links to the Tabletopia version of the current alpha build (Tabletopia now being my go-to for design and playtesting in these times of social distancing - see my writeup of Tabletopia as a tool for design/playtesting here).

The latest version is born out of the previous rounds of playtesting via Tabletopia, the feedback for which was invaluable - a thankyou to all my dilligent playtesters, whose feedback and criticisms have been observant, correct and insightful.

The game up till this point has had lingering issues with rules phrasing and comprehendability (is that a word? I think i'll use it is as a word) that have existed since near its conception. The ability playtest with so many people recently has really brought these issues to light, in a way that smaller playtest and examining a deign oneself can't truly do.

Gone is the clumsy 'Pay X', gone are [plans] from tactic decks, gone is using something called 'movement points' for things other than movement. In are 'exhaust', reductions in restrictions on when one can use their tactics, and 'exhaust to attack' ('exhaust', by the way, is the concept that now replaces 'tap' - a term that as it turns out is, or maybe was, the intellectual property of a certain card giant).

An overview of the changes are thus:
- Dust Flag & Chrome Hand tribes are in
- Unit art for each (note - it's still largely uncoloured)
- New unit art for the Eternal Nomad & Korashi Stronghold platforms
- Factions now have (experimental) optional faction specific rules, as sort of an 'advanced play mode'
- Changes to the way exhaust (previously tap/pay X) work, including refining of terms and what does/doesn't require exhaust to use
- Change to what does/does not require movement points to use
- Refining of all tactic cards for maximum comprehension and easy-of-use (including the removal of [plans] from this version of the game)
- New colour designs for all tactic and territory cards

Many of the new art & design assets are viewable via this post.

There are possibly more changes, but as i'm not currently keeping any sort of exhaustive changelog, they will have to go unmentioned here.

Now, let playtesting recommence. Onwards to v0.50!

Addendum: The current rulebook is NOT updated to v0.40's rules - that will come soon, but don't be surprised if it doesn't match some aspects of the current game...
